What do you do with a colorless blender marker? It's not for blending two colors together!

I also have some watercolor markers with a colorless blender. I wonder if the same would apply? Also could my colorless blender refill for alcohol markers, also be used for watercolor markers. When I use my water brush to blend it seems even a small amount of water is to heavy on the water color paper and I end up with paper “debris” like those annoying little eraser bits
