• Do they come with a white gel pen? Art-n-Fly
  • Yes
  • Are the tips small enough to use in coloring books for adults? Art-n-Fly
  • Yes they are. We've designed them especially for detail work such as coloring books. The tips fine enough for detailed work but thick enough to allow the gel to flow smoothly.
  • Do the pens bleed through paper? Art-n-Fly
  • No these gel pens do not bleed through the page. The gel ink is thick, unlike water or alcohol based ink which is more liquid, which is why these pens don't bleed
  • Are they acid free? Art-n-Fly
  • Yes
  • How quickly does the ink dry and do they smear? Art-n-Fly
  • The ink dries in seconds which is why smudging and smearing are not a problem
  • Are the colors true to the cap color? Art-n-Fly
  • Yes. The color on the caps of the pens are taken from the same pantone color number used to make the ink for the gel pen itself
  • How long do these pens last? Art-n-Fly
  • That depends. How big of an area are you coloring? If you use them for fine details they will last a long time, if you use them to color a large area they will run out faster. The ink in all gel pens is thicker than what you have in markers so it lays down thicker. Which would mean it drains faster than markers. Gel pens are also usually smaller than markers.. Once you have worked with gel pens (if you haven't already) you will love them but also learn to set personal guidelines for your gel pens. Personally we use ours for small to medium size areas
  • Do these pens write smoothly or are they scratchy? Art-n-Fly
  • We went to great lengths to make sure they are perfectly smooth. We've calibrated the tip of the pen to dispense just enough ink to give a smooth experience but not too much so that the ink doesn't run out quickly
  • Is it possible to correct mistakes with gel pens? Art-n-Fly
  • Erasing gel ink is a bit harder than regular pen ink because gel ink is thicker but it is possible. Here are our recommendations on how to erase gel ink mistakes: 1) Use Ammodex ink and stain remover, it removes virtually any ink from any surface. 2) Use acetone, alcohol or lemon juice to erase ink. apply a small amount of your liquid of choice to a cotton swab, and rub into the ink you want to erase
  • Are these pens blendable? Art-n-Fly
  • Yes! many people don't know this but you can actually blend the gel pens just like you would blend art markers. The trick is to blend the colors while the ink is still wet. In order for the ink to stay wet long enough for you to have time to blend it you might have to lay down a bit more ink in one spot than you usually do because the more ink you put in one spot the longer it takes to dry
